NORFOLK, NE –BankFirst is excited to announce the promotion of Tom Higginbotham as Chief Financial Officer. Tom replaces Susie Lutz upon her retirement on April 19th, 2024.

Tom is an accomplished financial professional with over 28 years of experience in management, finance, and auditing. Tom’s wealth of expertise will contribute to the bank’s financial strategies and management, ensuring the continued success and stability of BankFirst.

Tom grew up in ​Norfolk and graduated from ​Norfolk High in 1987​. He went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree from ​DeVry Institute of Technology, Kansas City in 1995.  Prior to joining BankFirst, Tom spent 23 years at the Northeast Nebraska Economic Development District, 18 of those as the Executive Director.  In his free time, Tom enjoys family, golf and especially spending time with his 2-year-old granddaughter Lindsay.
